The Border Communities Against Brexit group has described a proposal to create a five-kilometre buffer zone either side of the border as part of the effort to fight the spread of Covid-19 as 'crazy.'
It follows Labour Party leader Alan Kelly suggesting that checks should be put in place within 5 kilometres of the border to stop the virtus.
But Border Communities Against Brexit coordinator Damien McGennity says the way to fight covid here is to adopt an all-island, zero-tolerance approach.
He also says the 5km proposal is a smokescreen to hide the failure of politicians.
