Bree set to be elected the new Mayor of Sligo/ Strandhill MD

Independent Councillor Declan Bree is set to be elected the new Major of Sligo/ Strandhill Municipal District of Sligo County Council.

Councillor Bree is due to take over the role from Fianna Fáil Councillor Tom Mac Sharry.

The AGM is getting underway at City Hall on Quay Street this morning.
