With uncertainty in relation to whether or not a Brexit deal can be secured motorists that commute between the north and south are being advised to check with their insurance companies.
In particular those in the north that have not received a green card are being urged to do so.

Sinn Féin MLA, Jemma Dolan Insurance providers have indicated that in the event of a no-deal, drivers from the north will need insurance green cards to drive into the south.
It's emerged that large numbers of have yet to do so and Jemma Dolan is urging them to take steps immediately:
