Bundoran RNLI have been involved in the rescue of a horse, which bolted into the sea off Murvagh beach in Donegal.
The call was made by lifeguards on duty at the beach to Malin Head Coast Guard at teatime on Monday evening.
At one stage, the horse was more than a mile from the shore.
The RNLI crew managed to gradually coax the animal back to shore, where its owner was waiting.
