Bus Eireann has confirmed that their Derry to Galway Route will become wheelchair accessible at key end-to-end points.
The Route 64 enhancement aims to improve the convenience of Bus Eireann's services for all passengers.
Many people who travel from Donegal to Sligo and Galway use the bus for attending health care appointments but until now, it had been deemed an inaccessible route.
It has resulted in passengers with disabilities unable to use the route due to the lack of accessible vehicles.
Bus stations in Letterkenny, Ballyshannon, Sligo and Galway will now be designated wheelchair accessible from June 23rd.
