Busy start to New Year for Arranmore RNLI

The Arranmore RNLI was tasked three times in the first few days of the new year.

 

The volunteer lifeboat crew had three call outs in the space of four days to assist with medical evacuations from the island.

Shortly after 11am on Tuesday, January 2nd, the crew was called out to transfer a patient to Burtonport to a waiting ambulance.

 

At 8.30am on Thursday, January 4th, the lifeboat crew was called to a medical evacuation, but was stood down within minutes as Sligo-based Rescue 118 was tasked to assist in the evacuation.

The third call was at 8pm on Friday, January 5th also to assist in a further medical evacuation from the island.
