Bye, bye birdie: Moving statue in Drumshanbo

Gardai  are appealing for information following damage being caused to the recently erected Curlew statue on the Mart Road.

At Approximately 9 p.m. on Friday last the statue and accompanying plaque were found by a passer-by in a hedge.

It’s believed the statue was removed sometime between Thursday and Friday last.

Sergeant Angela Cummins says anybody with information in relation to the incident should contact Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station
