A government minister will be told tonight of the need for an early-morning commuter train service between Longford and Sligo.
It will be one of a number of items discussed when Minister Denis Naughten comes to Boyle for an 8pm meeting in St Jospeh's Hall on issues relating to the region.
Frank Geelan, a member of Boyle Town Commission and Boyle Town Council for 35 years, has long been campaigning for such a service.
The three-times mayor of Boyle tells Ocean FM News why he thinks it is needed.

Mr Geelan says although a two-way commuiter service is needed, it's more important that a service is provided enabling people get into Sligo earlier.
