Call for GLAS to be reopened to farmers

A Donegal TD says the Green, Low-Carbon, Agri-Environment Scheme or GLAS scheme must be reopened to farmers.

Fianna Fáil's spokesperson on Agriculture said it should particularly apply to farmers who have their Agri-Environment Option Scheme or AEOS contracts end in 2018.

Deputy Charlie McConalogue says these farmers are being deprived of the opportunity to join the latest agri-environmental scheme.
