A Sligo councillor is calling on people to be on the lookout for vandalism to defibrillators throughout the county.

It's after a defibrillator, or AED, was damaged recently in the village of Ballintogher.

Many of the AEDs are kept in special temperature-controlled units.

Fine Gael Councillor Thomas Walsh says the unit in Ballintogher had been bought following fundraising by the local community.
