Leitrim County Council has been requested to contact the Courts Service in relation to the old courthouse building in Manorhamilton, which has fallen into a state of dereliction.
The issue was raised at this month's meeting of councillors from the Manorhamilton Municipal District by Fine Gael Councillor Frank Dolan.
Cllr Dolan says that with Manorhamilton being granted funding under a regeneration scheme, there are different uses that the building could be used for, such as a heritage centre.
