A Donegal County Councillor is calling for the TUS scheme to be extended to Ukrainian refugees.
The Tús initiative is a community work placement scheme providing short-term working opportunities for unemployed people.

The work opportunities are to benefit the community and are provided by community and voluntary organisations in both urban and rural areas
It's thought by Fine Gael Donegal Cllr Barry Sweeney that Ukrainians now living here should be able to access the scheme.

Cllr Sweeney says if we're serious about helping them integrate into society, then this is an ideal avenue to be explored:
