Calls for second columbarium to be installed in Sligo

There's been a call for Sligo to be provided with its second columbarium for the storage of cremated remains or ashes of deceased persons.

It's another indication of the increasing number of people who are now cremated rather than buried after death.

A columbarium is already in place in the cemetery in Sligo Town.

Now, Fine Gael Councillor Sinead Maguire is calling for a columbarium to be provided in Rosses Point cemetery.
