A Donegal councillor is calling for the upgrading of a road in the south of the county from a regional to a national route.
Fianna Fail Councillor Micheal Naughton made the proposal in relation to the R232 Pettigo to Laghey road at today's Donegal Municipal District meeting.
He says it's a vital road in the south of the county as well as for those travellng from the area to Dublin and Belfast.
Cllr Naughton has been telling Ocean Fm News why he's making the proposal.
