Calls for traffic calming measures at Leckaun National School

The board of management of Leckaun National School are looking for traffic calming measures to be put in place at the school on the R278.

They have expressed concern at speed passing traffic are doing in the area.

The local Authority had applied for funding under the Low Cost Safety Scheme however the application was unsuccessful.

Local councillor Frank Dolan is hopeful that a second application for funding will be successful
