Calls from within Fine Gael for Enda Kenny to step down before next election

A long-serving Fine Gael supporter in Donegal is calling for Taoiseach Enda Kenny to step down before the next election.

Hugh McClafferty, from Downings, acknowledges the Taoiseach has said he will not lead Fine Gael into the next election.

But Mr McClafferty says Mr Kenny should step down sooner rather than later.

And he says such grass-roots opinion is not confined to Donegal:
