Calls made on Sligo County Council to carry out county wide survey into public lighting

There are calls for Sligo County Council to carry out a county wide mapping survey into public lighting.

Fine Gael Councillor, Thomas Walsh, is making the request following discussions with a number of residents that are without safe, public lighting, in a number of communities.

Councillor Walsh wants the local authority to map out every town and village, highlighting any areas that are in need of the utility.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Councillor Walsh says there have been a number of new housing estates built over the years, but there hasn't been enough investment into infrastructure.
