Claims that inter fuel payments could be scrapped next year if MEP's back a vote in the European Parliament this week have been dismissed by a midlands West MEP
With several resolutions to tackle climate change due to be discussed by Europe this week Fine Gael MEP, Sean Kelly had raised fears that allowances were under threat.
However Sinn Fein MEP Matt Carthy says that such reports are not true and that Fine Gael are using it as an excuse as to vote against removing grants to Fossil Fuel companies.
