Casserly hits out at Pact members on Sligo council over not supporting budget

Sligo county councillors have failed to adopt the annual budget for the year ahead at their meeting today.

Councillors will return to their budget discussions again next Monday.

Independent Alliance Councillor Marie Casserly says she is disappointed that the current members  of a majority Pact on the council would not vote for the budget.

She is insisting those who are members of the Pact, and who got council positions as part of the Pact arrangement, have a responsibility to support a budget.
