The new Cathaoirleach of Manorhamilton Municipal District is calling for the whole of north Leitrim to be designated a National Park.
Fianna Fail Councillor Justin Warnock was elected Cathaoirleach at the AGM of the district yesterday afternoon.
He says jobs and what he calls the 'mass exodus' of people from Leitrim as major concerns.
He says those concerns reflect his calls for the area to be designated a national park:
