Caution urged on Donegal routes as gritting takes place

Donegal County Council have urged all motorists in the region to assume that no road is ice free this morning.

Although temperatures didn’t plummet into the minus figures as expected overnight, the Donegal Winter maintenance programme was employed since 6am.

A large number of routes have been gritted to increase road safety within the county.

All road users are asked to exercise greater caution until temperatures rise throughout the day.
