The local authority in Sligo as part of their plans to tackle the growing problem of litter have given a commitment to address the issue of dumping at the Castlegal lay-by which is situated on the Sligo to Bundoran Road.
Independent Sligo Drumcliff Marie Casserly says the lay-by is a popular location for commuters but is also being used a public toilet.
Cllr Casserly has called for no dumping signs and surveillance cameras to be installed at the location.
