Civil servants should be encouraged to live in North West

A general election candidate says civil servants should be supported if they choose to live and work in the likes of the north west.

Under the Civil Service Mobility Scheme, civil servants can apply to move and work outside of Dublin.

However, Fianna Fail candidate, Shane Ellis says if they are promoted, most are required to move back.

Speaking to OceanFM, he says many people have to uproot their families.
