Clarity sought if electricity reduction applies to those who pay direct to local authority

Clarity is being sought on whether the €200 electricity reduction applies to those paying local authorities directly.

Jamie Murphy of the Sligo Traveller Support Group says many in the Travelling community are uncertain over the measure and Sligo County Council do not have a definite answer either.

It's expected people will begin receiving their discount from next month.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Jamie Murphy says this is a 'major oversight' of the scheme.
