Cleanup operation underway to clear major oil spill

Motorists are being advised of a bad oil spill on the road between Ballygawley and Ballintogher.

The spill is believed to have started near Markree Castle.

A team from Sligo County Council are on the way to clear the road.

It's understood that a car has already gone off the road in the area as a result of the spillage.

Drivers are asked to the approach the area with caution as the cleanup operation takes place.
