Events are taking place in Sligo and Leitrim today with the aim of raising awareness around climate change.
A demonstration is getting underway from 12pm at Wine Street Car Park in Sligo and members of Treasure Leitrim are meeting for a socially distanced event at Manorhamilton Castle from 3pm.
Jamie Murphy of Treasure Leitrim says the event is also to highlight concerns over the proposed prospecting license being issued by Minister Eamon Ryan.
He says the Minister must 'stand with communities' and not issue the license.
