A Sligo cllr is describing moves by a waste collection company to increase charges for collecting recycling materials as outrageous.
It's understood Greenstar/Panda waste collection has announced it will increase it's charges by 28% from June 1st.
In addition to these charges for recycling material the company will also be increasing the charge for household waste by 4% and the monthly service charges will go up by 3%.
Local election candidate Cllr Declan Bree says the hike in fees as unacceptable.
