The issue of border policing in Leitrim in the event of a no-deal Brexit was raised at yesterday's meeting of the Joint Policing Committee in Leitrim.
Fine Gael Councillor and local election candidate Sean McDermott says there will be serious implications for those living along the border in the county if a border was reinstated.
Cllr McDermott says farmers in particular are exposed to additional hardship.
