The HSE is being called on to ensure home care providers are prevented from withdrawing their services from clients in the area until another service provider is in place and the clients have been notified.
Councillor Justin Warnock recently tabled the motion at the Manorhamilton Municipal District meeting of Leitrim County Council.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Councillor Warnock says many elderly and vulnerable people in the local region have been left high and dry without any care being provided.
