Donegal Sinn Fein Cllr. Marie Therese Gallagher has confirmed that she will not be seeking re-election.
In a statement, the Glenties MD representative said that it has been an honour to serve the people of the county since 2007.

Cllr Gallagher, who succeeded Donegal Deputy Pearse Doherty on the Council, says it is the right time for someone else to come forward and represent the interests of workers and families in Donegal.
Deputy Doherty paid tribute to Cllr Gallagher saying there is no doubt that a person of her talent and character will be greatly missed.
