A north Leitrim councillor says €38,000 allocated for work on the Glenaniff River near Rossinver will help alleviate flooding in the area in the future.
Last October, there was severe flooding during which water came into a house.
Fine Gael Councillor Sean McDermott says that he hopes work on the river will start soon.
