EU Commissioner Phil Hogan is set to announce a 400 million euro investment for Irish Agriculture this morning.
The cash injection from the European Investment Bank for the Irish forestry industry - is the first initiative to be backed here under the Investment Plan for Europe.
The funding boost is the bank's first support announcement for the sector here in 20 years.
