Community messaging system launched in Leitrim

A Leitrim alert community messaging system has been launched.

The initiative is to replace the community text alert scheme in the county.

It'll be in the form of an app, where people can download it for free with the service also providing a range of other announcements and useful information concerning a particular area, as well crime prevention.

Local Gardai, Leitrim County Council and other stakeholders are involved.
