Community workers threatening to down tools over dog fouling

Community workers are threatening to stop working on the upkeep of Public walks ways over health and safety concerns they have in relation to dog fouling.

With more and more people using these facilities since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic the issue of dog fouling has become a major problem.

With many dog owners neglecting to clean up after their pet's there are health and safety concerns being raised among other users of the facilities and workers entrusted with maintaining them.

Leitrim Fine Gael Councillor Sean McDermott the issue of dog fouling is becoming a major issue on many walkways and housing estates.
