Concern expressed over the distribution of hate mail in Sligo

Serious concern has been raised over what's been described as 'hate mail' being delivered through letterboxes in the Sligo area.

It's been claimed that the pamphlets have been published by far-right groups.

The issue was raised at the latest sitting of Sligo County Council with the local authority being urged to affirm that there is no place in Sligo for any form of discrimination.

Sligo Sinn Fein Cllr Arthur Gibbons hit out at those behind the pamphlets and says the message they are attempting to highlight is disgraceful:
