Concern for elderly over long waiting times at Sligo Hospital ED

There are calls for what's been described as 'disappointing' waiting times at Sligo University Hospital to be addressed.

Figures show that almost half of patients presenting to the hospital have to wait several hours before they are seen.

It had led to major concern particularly for the older age cohort attending the Emergency Department.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Fianna Fail Councillor Donal Gilroy says these people shouldn't be spending a prolonged period of time in such an environment:
