Concern over ban on visits to Inishmurray Island

The owner of Inishmurray Island Tours says he will be put out of business after people were warned to stay off the island.

Nobody lives on the small island, which lies in Donegal Bay, approximately 7km from Streedagh.

However the Department of Transport has said all visits to the island must cease on health and safety grounds.

Keith Clarke, who has been running boat trips to the island for 32 years, says if this decision isn't overturned, he will be out of business:
