Early childcare providers from the North West can still register for a forum in Athlone tomorrow to discuss the new affordable childcare scheme.
The scheme introduced by the government in the last Budget gives parents help with payments for creche and nursery fees and other types of childcare such as after school care.
It's due to start in September and every child between the ages of 6 months and 36 months in Tusla-registered childcare services will be eligible for some level of support.
However, there is huge concern amongst private providers as to how this will be rolled out.
Regina Bushell, Chair of the Private Early Education Programme says providers need to be paid for the extra administrative work this new scheme will bring:
