Concern over progress on access pathway at Rosses Point

Concern has been expressed over what's been described as slow progress on providing an access pathway to the second beach at Rosses Point.

 

It's understood that since the installation of rock armour, the current pathway can become potentially dangerous during periods of high tides.

There were calls for a progress report on Sligo County Councils proposals to restore the pathway at the latest meeting.

 

Sligo Independent Cllr Marie Casserly believes an alternative solution is needed and that there should be more urgency as it relates to the matter:
