There are fears that long awaited flood mitigation works for Pettigo may not be in the pipeline.
Many homes and businesses near the local river have been severely impacted by flooding over the years.
It had been widely anticipated that following the former OPW Minister Kieran O'Donnell's visit to south Donegal last year that the works would be made a priority.
Cross border talks with the Council in Fermanagh had also been taking place to try to come up with a plan.
A number of flooding projects have been earmarked locally to begin shortly but Pettigo doesn't seem to be included.
