Confusion surrounds Minor Works Grants

Students and teachers are currently working in class-rooms that are forced to open windows as a preventative measure to stop the spread of Covid-19.

Yesterday €45 million will be allocated to primary schools as part of additional support in the context of Covid-19,” while post-primary schools were given €17 million.

Vincent Duffy is the INTO representative for Mayo and Sligo he says this grant is normally paid every December to schools and is used for upgrading works in schools.
