Work has commenced on a new social housing development in Collooney.
The development will consist of 15 units including apartments, semi-detached and standalone properties.
A portion of the homes will go towards housing for elderly couples and people with special needs.
The houses are located close to Owenmore Gael's football pitch.

Local Sinn Féin Councillor, Thomas Healy, says this is a welcome step towards reducing the housing waiting list in Sligo.
