Cordon remains in place at Donegal construction site

A cordon remains in place at a construction site in Donegal after the alarm was raised over exposed wires yesterday.

The services of the Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit were requested to attend the scene.

Gardai received a report of exposed wires at the site on Convent Road in Milford shortly before 2pm yesterday afternoon.
Milford National School was also evacuated as a safety precaution.

Gardai have confirmed this morning that investigations are ongoing and that no further update is available at this time.
