Councillor Noreen McGarvey to be laid to rest on Monday

The late Fianna Fail Councillor Noreen McGarvey will be laid to rest on Monday.

Cllr McGarvey passed away on Thursday night in the Donegal Hospice.

Elected to Donegal County Council in 2019, Cllr McGarvey has also served as secretary to former TD Pat the Cope Gallagher.

Tributes have been paid to her work ethic and contribution to Fianna Fail, with Tánaiste Michael Martin describing the late Cllr as a true community champion, a long-time and valued member of the party and an integral part of community and political life in South Donegal.

Councillor McGarvey’s funeral mass will take place on Monday at 11am in St. Columba’s Church Acres with interment in Belcruit Cemetery.
