Councillor says Primary Care Centre needed in North Leitrim

A North Leitrim Councillor believes a Primary Care Centre should be built to cater for Kinlough and areas in South Donegal.

Fianna Fáil Councillor, Justin Warnock claims the pandemic has highlighted inefficiencies in health care in the region and a centre is needed to address concerns.

He is tabling a motion at today's Manorhamliton Municipal District Meeting calling for funding to be made available by the HSE.

Councillor Warnock says a number of constituents felt they were 'locked out' of medical care.

He also says there was a significant number of people waiting on an outpatient appointment before the pandemic.
