There are now more than 50 Covid inpatients in Sligo University Hospital, with 3 in intensive care.
It's at the same time as the Emergency Department is down 17 nurses for a variety of reasons, including covid positive and close contacts.
That's according to Sligo Councillor Thomas Walsh who says staff are now facing a situation of working back-to-back shifts.
