Counting resumes in Sligo-Leitrim

Counting in the Sligo-Leitrim constituency resumed shortly after 9 o'clock on Sunday morning in the Clayton Hotel.

All four seats have still to be filled.

Fine Gael's Frank Feighan topped the poll late on Saturday night with 8980 votes in Count 1.

Martin Kenny (SF) and Eamon Scanlon (FF) also look well placed to win seats with the fourth seat likely to be a fought out between Michael Clarke (Independent Ireland), Marian Harkin (Ind), Chris MacManus (SF) and Edel McSharry.

Nationally, just 41 of the 174 seats had been filled at the start of play on Sunday - with only six contituencies having completed their counts on Saturday night.
