Two people have died in a house fire in Mayo.
The blaze broke out at a property in Swinford in the early hours of this morning.

Emergency services attended the scene with the fire service battling the blaze for several hours.
Two people, believed to be a local couple, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The area remains sealed off pending a forensic examination and an investigation to determine the cause of the fire has been launched.
