Leitrim has the fourth highest Covid-19 rate of infection in the Country, when it comes to the rate of infection among 100,000 head of population.
That’s according to figures published this morning by Public Health officials.
New Covid-19 figures released today shows that the levels of the infection has risen sharply in Dublin, Limerick and Kildare.
When it comes to the rate of the Coronavirus per 100,000 head of population Leitrim is ranked 4th in the Country with an infection rate of 49.9% and 16 cases over the past 14 days.
The percentage rate per 100,000 head of population in Donegal stands at 23.2% with 37 cases confirmed over the past 14 days.
Sligo has the lowest percentage rate in the Country with just 4.6% per 100,000 testing positive for Covid-19. Indeed Sligo is the only county in the Republic of Ireland to register less than five cases of the Coronavirus over the past 14 days.
Dublin, Limerick and Kildare have the highest infection rates with 67.8%, 63.1% and 61.6% respectively
