The issue of speaking rights in the Dáil will take centre stage at a Business Committee this morning.
It's after the Ceann Comhairle said the group of Independent TDs that will support the Government can have Opposition speaking rights.
The move has strongly been opposed by the opposition Parties.
Sinn Féin's Chief Whip, and Donegal TD, Pádraig Mac Lochlainn has claimed that there is legal precedence as set out by the Ceann Comhairle. He confirmed that Sinn Fein is seeking its own legal advice.
Deputy Mac Lochlainn has warned that if the move was implemented it would make a "mockery of the Dáil".
